SMARTER, Inc., a non-profit organization focused on motorcyclist safety research, is introducing its organization and research database to the Motorcyclist Advisory Council. They advocate for the inclusion of research on Perceptual Countermeasures (PCM's) and road curve markings in the Council's recommendations to improve rider safety.

Sam Bousfield, CEO of Samson Sky, argues that the Switchblade vehicle should maintain its current classification as a motorcycle when operating on the ground. He emphasizes that this classification is essential for the vehicle's production and operation, as it aligns with the specific weight and construction requirements of aircraft.

Mitchell Berger, writing in a personal capacity, suggests that the Motorcyclist Advisory Council (MAC) should enhance its coordination and collaboration with NHTSA's Office of EMS and other advisory bodies. He argues that this information exchange would help ground infrastructure recommendations in real-world injury patterns and EMS response challenges to improve motorcyclist safety.

Paul Scott, a motorcycle rider, is requesting that the Motorcyclist Advisory Council recommend updating FHWA guidance to require the repair of pavement cracks within lane striping areas at interstate ramps. He argues that these neglected areas create significant safety hazards for motorcyclists who must navigate uneven surfaces while merging or diverging at high speeds.
