Trouble viewing this email? View it as a webpage . USDA Seeks Nominees for Popcorn Board Notice to Trade The U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) seeks nominees for the Popcorn Board. Nominees are needed to fill two seats with terms beginning Jan. 1, 2027, and ending Dec. 31, 2029. Eligible nominees must process over four million pounds of popcorn annually. The Popcorn Board is made up of five popcorn processors and supports the research and promotion of U.S. popcorn. USDA Seeks Nominees for National Honey Board Notice to Trade The U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) is seeking nominations for the National Honey Board. Nominations are needed to fill three member and three alternate seats. Open seats include one first handler member, one producer member, one importer member, and their alternates. Newly appointed members and alternates will serve three-year terms from Jan. 1, 2027, through Dec. 31, 2029. The deadline for nominations is June 1, 2026. Only qualified national organizations within the honey industry may formally nominate members. All nominees must meet the qualifications and have a completed application submitted. Producer members or alternates must produce a minimum of 50,000 pounds of honey in the U.S. annually based on the best three-year average of the most recent five calendar years to be eligible. STB Authorizes Green Eagle Railroad Line in Maverick County, TX

The Surface Transportation Board today issued a decision authorizing the construction and operation by Green Eagle Railroad (GER) of an approximately 1.3-mile rail line in Eagle Pass and Maverick County, Texas. The line is part of the larger Puerto Verde Global Trade Bridge project, a proposal to create a new trade corridor for freight traffic and commercial motor vehicles (CMVs) between Eagle Pass, Texas, across the U.S.-Mexico border, and into the Mexican State of Coahuila.
