MARSING, Idaho —The Bureau of Land Management Owyhee Field Office is issuing a temporary closure to access the North Fork Campground along Juniper Mtn Rd, Owyhee County, beginning July 25, 2026, at 8:00 p.m. and is anticipated to be lifted July 30, 2026, at 11:59 p.m.
This closure is necessary to ensure the safety of the public and firefighters engaged in suppression operations on primarily the Big Grass Fire in Oregon, and Peer Fire in Idaho. This closure is necessary to ensure the safety of the public and firefighters engaged in suppression operations on the Big Grass Fire in Oregon, and Peer Fire in Idaho and complies with 43 CFR 8364.1. This closure does not affect private land. The area will be monitored by BLM Law Enforcement personnel to ensure compliance with the closure.
