The FCC is designated to protect us, and our resources for the pirate oligarchs that you have allowed to buy up multiple news and communication arms, effectively creating monopolies. On what planet is this protecting the very people and resources you were appointed to protect? This robocall call law is yet again one more way you're allowing the foxes into the henhouse. It's ludicrous that you have allowed these monopolies to proliferate and you imperil democracy with each erosion. Monopolies are always to the detriment of the public, as you actually know, yet ignore. We pay more, get less, and have a stranglehold on our news sources, which foments racism.
Public trust in this agency is already gone. But you COULD always turn back into the agency envisioned, and actually serve the people and its airwaves, resources. I remain cautiously hopeful that you will all wake up and do that.
In the meantime, send the telemarketers packing. This is a complete invasion of privacy and the American public SHOULD be able to refuse to allow such use of their personal homes, phones, internet to this invasion. And it should be legally punishable by law AND fines AND a loss of their license to do business, if they are found to have done so.
