My telephone is a private system that I pay for my private use. It is not inany way for the use of mass media marketing tool. Under current Indiana law Ihave received no unsolicited calls, and I demand to keep it that way; however,if your proposed federal no-call list law is passed, it will weaken and dilutecurrent state laws which are working just fine. I believe wholeheartedly that Iwill begin to receive unsolicited and unwanted calls if your proposed measure ispassed.Prior to the Indiana's no-call list we were receiving an average of 5-6unsolicited and unwanted calls per day during hours which were of inconvenienceand extremely annoying. These calls were made by companies who refused torecognize different time zones, the word no, and please remove me from yourcalling list. At times the telephone solicitor has been extremely rude anddisrespectful using language that under FCC standards is not allowed. Thesecalls at the most were the cause of stress-related anxiety that is deprementalto my health and well-being. Since we have been listed with the Indiana's no-call list my stress level has decreased, and we have been able to enjoy the useof my telephone in privacy.Please, do not delute current state laws regulated unsolicited calls.
