To whom it may concern: As a citizen of the U.S. and Indiana, I would like you to know my view that the FCC should not implement any proposal that would lessen Indiana's Telephone Privacy law protections. I don't see how this could be helpful to any individual citizen. It seems to be an idea tailored to benefit corporations, while lessoning the individual's privacy. I don't believe your position justifies infringing on our privacy within our homes for the financial gain of certain businesses. I have been interrupted at all inconvient hours in the past--many times interrupting our family's time at dinner or trying to get the baby to sleep by those telemarketers. They certainly don't have my interest in mind--They are just trying to separate me from my money! Since the Indiana Telephone Privacy law went into effect, it has been a great relief not to be getting these extremely annoying calls. I used to receive sometimes 5-8 or so per day and now I get none or very few. I think our state lawmakers were looking out for the best interest of our citizens when they legislated this law. I don't think the FCC should trash what our state has so considerately passed. This is important to me and my family and friends. Please do not make changes that would contribute to a LOWER quality of home life. I hold that dear. Our homes are our sacred spaces of privacy. I'm sure your own homes are a kind of refuge for you too. Please listen to the citizens of Indiana and contribute to keeping our homes private!! Thank you for your time listening to a fellow citizen.
