Summary: An individual is opposing the management plans because they believe fishing is inherently cruel and causes unnecessary pain to marine life. Please stop killing the poor fish and crabs and leave them in peace. No matter who's killing the fish, fishing is still painful for the poor fish. People don't need to eat fish and crabs, so please leave them alone. Please protect the fish and crabs instead, and do not torture and/or kill the fish and crabs anymore. Fishing does cause pain for fish. Recent studies reflect this discovery of fish actually experiencing pain. So, it would make sense that fish feel pain when being pierced with a hook or dying of asphyxia when taken out of the water. It's just cruel. Please check out the link below. All this killing is unnecessary, so please put an end to it. Fishing already inflicts massive pain on the fish species as is along with also harming/killing many Marine Mammals to top it off. Please protect all the Monkfish, the Northeast Multispecies Fish, the Atlantic Herrings, the Atlantic Sea Scallops, the Atlantic Deep-Sea Red Crabs, and the different Skate fish species out there, because they are all precious and beautiful and they deserve protection just as other animals do.
