I do not support this. There is no evidence to explain for why trans women should be forced to jump through extra hoops for the exact same estrogen that has been approved for cis women. Similarly, psychiatric care is valuable, but this specifically is a misguided approach. It is nonsensical to withhold care from such a vulnerable demographic, while expecting them to chase after professionals who are likely either busy or outright discriminatory. Doctors do not have time to thoroughly test every single individual for every possible alternative condition, especially when the patient is testifying to their own experiences of what they need. Prioritize the needs of the patient; trans women are women. As a transgender individual, lack of treatment is what drove me to need psychiatric care, not the other way around. Keep care and information available, certainly, but there are better ways to encourage informed decisions than these massive obstacles. The idea of an official registry cataloguing all possible trans women is painfully careless. I do not trust any governing official with maintaining that sort of list.
