Summary: Emily, an individual, opposes the creation of a registry for transgender people, arguing that it is harmful, cruel, and unnecessary. She characterizes the proposal as discriminatory and compares it to historical persecution.
Hello, my name is Emily. I am a transgender woman and am friends with transgender people of all shapes and sizes. Regardless of if you believe my gender is “real,” building a registry of any minority is an incredibly bad and harmful thing. It does not even have the potential to work as intended, erroneously adding those with intersex conditions to the registry. It is cruel, needlessly so. This registry should not be made and will only harm people for no reason other than that the way we live upsets people. We have hurt nobody and nothing but the sensibilities of those that seek to harm those different from them. Throwing eloquence to the wind, this is nazi behavior. Do not let history repeat itself. I am tired of living under the eye of Sauron. Leave us alone for the love of all that is holy.
