Summary: The commenter supports David A. Kessler's petition and urges the FDA to reassess specific ingredients based on cumulative exposure and their impact on satiety. They advocate for a transparent safety review and the establishment of clear limits, especially for products marketed to children.
I support Dr. David Kessler’s petition and ask the FDA to reassess these ingredients under present conditions of use, including cumulative exposure. Personally, I notice that ultra-processed foods formulated with refined carbs are less satiating and seem to drive quicker return of hunger than meals with intact food structure and fiber. The FDA should require a transparent safety review and establish clear limits, particularly for child-directed product categories.
