As a resident living within the affected, I urge EGLE and EPA to withdraw this proposal. This proposal endangers public health. While I understand that the current rule allows the regulating bodies to disregard data connected to specific events, I believe this logic is deeply flawed. Regardless of the cause of poor air quality and the cause of spikes in air quality hazards, the data demonstrates that the air quality does not meet public health standards. Cherry-picking MULTIPLE data points and removing them from the sample is not in the public interest. The public interest should be the driving priority, and I strongly encourage you to abandon this proposal.
