Summary: The commenter opposes the proposed action to fund space exploration, arguing that the environmental damage caused by rocket launches and satellites is unacceptable. They advocate for redirecting the proposed funds toward cleaning up the atmosphere and developing renewable energy on Earth.
As much as I support funding space exploration, let's get real. Many people in the United States believe the moon landing was staged and the government has been manipulating the weather. Space X has caused irreversible damages to our planet launching his rockets. The amount of satellites orbiting the planet and damages that have been done to our environment are unacceptable.
I understand that many of the billionaires or developers would like to explore space so that humans may be able to live somewhere else or sell tickets for a joy ride to outer space, but at what cost? Is it not obvious that the oxygen, water and 6 inch layer of sun that we rely to survive is here and only here. There is no justification for destroying life on this planet to explore others.
I support developing renewable energy and exploring space without creating emissions here. I support abandoning this mission, using the proposed funds to clean up the atmosphere and save life on this planet.
