I understand that exploration may lead to marketable products that expand US economy. However, it is too easy to exploit resources off rural areas with low population—there’s not enough push back to halt overuse. That’s a problem with democracy; it leads to oppression of minorities and negative externalities in resource management. Short version: I DO NOT support Commercial Leasing for Outer Continental Shelf Minerals off the Eastern Shore of Virginia.
