After reading through this new rule several different times I am left with many questions, but they are all are simply various forms of why. I cant see why anyone would take the time to draft such a grossly discriminatory overeach of federal powers, let alone sign something so pointless into law. this rule would do little to improve public safety and its a clear to me its only goal is to dictate who can and cannot legally purchase firearms based on little more then their beliefs, and is clear breach of the seccond amendment rights of the American people. Instead of making pointless rules like this, the ATF could drastically improve public safety by making and improving upon rules around 3D printed firearms and suppressors which, commonly skirt the ATFs rules for background checks and serialization. As seen in the tragic death of young Henry Willis, who purchased a unregistered 3D printed firearm build kit through a private company and proceeded to use the weapon to end his own life. In summary, this ruling is pointless and does little to improve public safety amist a 3D printed, unregistered, unregulated, ghost gun boon that I strongly believe should be the ATFs biggest concern.
