Since the acceptable forms of ID do not consistently conform to this standard, the expectation is presumably that FFLs and NICS will disregard any mismatch between the ID and the data entered on the form. It would be helpful to include a specific caption indicating that the 4473 requires biological sex, which is not required to match the photo ID, and mismatches should be ignored.
