To whom it may concern,
I am a middle class construction worker, father of 2 in a single income home. I have been studying and working on getting my FAA 107 license to make a little extra money to support my family. I can’t afford $1000 drones for a little bit of side income, infact, in the current state of our economy, I couldn’t afford a Skyrover X1 at around $450, I have been saving my money for one. This ruling would do nothing for security, but everything to hurt people like myself and an entire industry. These drones and DJI drones have become the benchmark standard for technology and quality and features. This would hurt us as individuals as well as cut our nation off to a future industry and technology. The FCC is not a governing body via election, but still, the number 1 priority should be in service of the people. This ruling is NOT in the best interest of our nation’s individual people, industry or as a whole. I know my comment doesn’t matter. I’m one person, I’m nobody with no powerful or political ties. I know the FCC is like the ATF and the rest and don’t care about me, my family, or my community. I know the comment period is only because it’s required and the FCC already has their mind made up on this ruling. But myself, my family, my values, and my opinions are important enough to me to not give up and to try, and at least put my voice and common sense on public record.
