Barbara J. ZazasOpposeIndividual
Summary: An individual resident of Indiana opposes the proposed action, expressing concern that it might undermine existing state laws that limit intrusive telephone solicitations. The commenter argues that these calls are an invasion of privacy and a disturbance to their home life.
Please do not take away our Indiana State Law which has limited the telephonesolicitation calls into my home. I have never commented on any law before now. This law has improved my home life (and sleep) remarkedly. I believe thesecalls are as intrusive to my home as a knock on the door at night. Before ourIndiana law was effective I received 5 to 6 calls every night. My 94 year oldneighbor (without an answering machine or caller ID)was often greatly disturbedby either missing the call or endangering her health by trying to hurry to reachthe phone. These calls are an invasion and should be stopped! Please don'tmess with our state law.
