We are a small fabricator in oklahoma, NexSurfaces LLC, grossing roughly 4 million in annual revenue. We service mainly new construction home builders and the bulk, around 75% of our material costs are anywhere between $8 and $16 per sqaure foot. 90% of our sales are from engineered stone. Products like cambria are specifically for very high end customers and therefore a small percentage of our overall business. Raising the tariffs for our new construction builders would hurt fabricators all over the U.S. Companies like cambria and dal tile do not even offer lower ends options for color selections for lower to mid range home owners. This seems very unfair and doesnt make sense except for companies like cambria to raise their prices even more if the tariffs do go through. Why is only quartz being targeted among the thousands of products imported into the u.s. every year?
