I'm a stone fabricator in southeastern Missouri. About half of our fabrication, about 50,000 square feet annually, is quartz. Please don't do this hard quota on tariffs for imported quartz. We use American machines, employ American workers, buy American tools, and serve hard working Americans like ourselves. We're all for utilizing American ingenuity as much as possible, but there is just not enough domestic quartz to satisfy domestic demand, and it exceeds most American's budgets. All this will do will jack up the price and push average consumers to natural stone. I love natural stone, but I also love for Americans to have a realistic choice. Most of our customers cannot afford the domestic prices, especially if those domestic manufacturers are given a freedom from competition that this hard quota would provide. This quota will hurt a lot of fabricators like ourselves. Please don't do it. Thanks for considering my comment.
