The commenter claims the action will force home builders away from quartz products and suggests it unfairly benefits a specific competitor while failing to meet current domestic needs.
As a procurement executive for a homebuilder, I can tell you first hand that this is NOT better for industry, the home builders, or more importantly. All this is the exact opposite of helping us deliver affordable housing to the customer The only group that might gain anything is Daltile who is challenged with performance and ability to serve its customers. The current domestic allocation can not even serve current needs and that is in a drastically slowed home building market. This is not better for American or the industry. The net result will force home builders away from quartz products
