My family came to the United States through the Uniting for Ukraine program. We are deeply grateful for the opportunity to live in safety and rebuild our lives.
Employment authorization is essential for families like ours. My husband and two adult sons work legally and pay taxes. They are proud to contribute to the U.S. economy and support our family through honest work. I am currently studying at American River College to improve my English and prepare for an administrative career so that I can also contribute through legal employment.
We are active members of our local church community, where we volunteer and support other families. We believe in giving back to the community that welcomed us.
Employment authorization provides stability, dignity, and hope. It allows parents to care for their children, students to prepare for better careers, and families to become self-sufficient while contributing to the United States.
Please continue to protect access to employment authorization for eligible individuals. It strengthens families, communities, and our economy. Thank you for considering my comment.
