Summary: Barbara Koch opposes the proposed rule because she believes it would unfairly restrict work authorization for individuals with humanitarian parole, deferred action, and those under orders of supervision. She argues the rule would prevent thousands of people from legally supporting their families while awaiting paperwork approval.
DHS Docket No USCIS 2026-0067 would restrict employment authorization for certain individuals. If finalized, it will change the rules for individuals with humanitarian parole, deferred action recipients, and individuals under orders of supervision. The proposed rule would heavily restrict work access for all three groups creating a significant impact. This rule would prevent tens of thousands of people from legally supporting themselves and their families while their work authorization paperwork awaits intense scrutiny and approval. I urge you to withdraw this proposal and allow individuals to continue supporting their families and community. Thank you, Barbara Koch
