The commenter emphasizes that these individuals are productive, tax-paying members of society and that the proposed changes would waste taxpayer dollars.
With regard to the proposed rule: DHS Docket No. USCIS-2026-0067, I urgently request that you not put further obstacles for Ukrainians to renew their work authorizations. I have sponsored a young Ukrainian couple who have been here three years. He is an over-the-road long-haul truck driver working for a company in Chicago. They work very hard and are helping to make America work. There is no reason to insert more bureaucracy for them to renew their work authorization. They have no other income and have become productive, tax-paying members of our society. They have lots of relatives back in the Ukraine who are undergoing wartime hardships. Making it harder for them to renew just wastes time, taxpayer dollars, and productivity. Please don't add more burden and worry to what they have to deal with!! And please don't waste taxpayer dollars on these unnecessary changes!!
