I write to raise a concern that the proposed pseudonymizing protocol is insufficient to protect confidential, sensitive medical information of judges and their dependents. The Protocol also fails to give advanced notice to judges that their information is sought to be disseminated or after-the-fact notice that it has been disseminated. The protocols also offer no protection of the information once it has been released under the proposed protocols set forth in the June 2026 Notice. I urge OPM to reconsider its proposal and protect the sensitive medical information of federal judges and their dependents in a more robust way than is currently proposed.
