I am very concerned that the proposed pseudonymizing protocol is insufficient to protect confidential, sensitive medical information of judges and their dependent family members. It is unclear why this deeply personal and private medical information is being collected. Further, the Protocol fails to give advanced notice to judges that their information is sought to be disseminated or after-the-fact notice that it has been disseminated. The protocols offer no protection of the information once it has been released under the proposed protocols set forth in the June 2026 Notice. I urge OPM to reconsider this proposal and protect the sensitive medical information of federal judges and their family members.
