Summary: The commenter argues that the proposed decisions regarding Performance Improvement Plans (PIPs), settlements, and voluntary employee abandonment are arbitrary and potentially discriminatory. They advocate for a more transparent, fair, and flexible disciplinary process for civil servants that includes union representation and adequate response time.
The administration is unfair in the way they currently discipline employee's. There are several level of management who make decisions, who are not involved in day to day.
Current law doesn't provide enough flexible ability to employees and management for employee discipline.
Civil servants deserve a transparent and fair process when facing discipline. Employees in government must have union representation and we need enough time to respond to all discipline matters.
All proposed decisions on PIPs, any settlements, and voluntary employee abandonment are arbitrary, and can cause discrimination. This is also including those who have a disibility, who face a PIP, and given option of termination or voluntary offer to quit.
