Russell Vought is continuing his attempts to destroy American science & federally funded research with the proposed updates to the National Science Foundations grantmaking rules. I see this as a direct extension of the OMB proposed "Regulation for Federal Financial Assistance" rule that sparked unprecedented pushback from the public. NSF's proposal conforms to the OMB proposed requirements like all grants need approval by political appointees, bans on international collaborations and restricting communications and publishing. All this will is a direct threat to our public health and cannot be allowed.
I just submitted comments directly to NSF, but I also wanted to contact members of Congress to be sure all of you act against this as well. Independent science MUST be protected from political interference!!
