This regulation is immensely damaging to scientific integrity and progress, and has widespread opposition. NSF should not be aligning its policies with a regulation that is not only destructive and counter to its mission, but doesn't even exist yet. NSF's proposed policies are an attempt to control universities' speech and academic freedom, and I strongly oppose this overreach of NSF's authority.
