Summary: The commenter opposes the proposed NSF guidance, arguing that it imposes gross burdens on grantees and institutions while threatening public health and freedom of thought. They call for the guidance to be reversed in favor of evidence-based decision-making by experts.
The NSF is jeopardizing the country's ability to innovate and American science's proven track record of making life better for our citizens and of saving lives. This new proposal and award guidance threatens public health and freedom of thought, both things that a healthy republic ought to have. By overreaching its authority and putting gross burdens on grantees and institutions, the NSF is following down the disgraceful, contemptible path of DOGE and bringing shame on our country. Reverse this guidance in favor of evidence-based decision-making by experts.
