By and For the PeopleOpposeAdvocacy
Summary: Josh Wilson, representing the "By and For the People" organization, opposes the proposed revisions to the National Handbook of Conservation Practices. He argues that the revisions, combined with broader federal policy shifts, lack transparency and create a "deregulatory machine" that allows for the reckless release of biotechnology into natural ecosystems without adequate public oversight or accountability.

Re: Docket No. NRCS–2026–0034 – Proposed Revisions to the National Handbook of Conservation Practices
To Whom It May Concern,
I ask that NRCS evaluate these proposed revisions with an understanding of the broader federal policy environment in which they will be applied, recognizing that ongoing regulatory decisions concerning biotechnology, conservation genetics, and related technologies may directly influence the future use and interpretation of these Conservation Practice Standards.
Thank you for considering these comments.
