26.5: For Sequestration events increase the 24-hr work limit period from 16 hours to 19 hours. This is a 19% increase in work hours mirrors the increase to 86 hours limit for any 7-day period.
26.203: Eliminate the prescriptive requirement in § 26.203 for annual fatigue management evaluations and instead allow performance monitoring through
the licensee’s corrective action program and FFD program oversight processes. Licensees already maintain extensive fatigue management records and routinely evaluate program performance through existing oversight
processes. Eliminating redundant annual reviews reduces administrative
burden while maintaining effective performance monitoring through established program controls.
26.203e: Eliminate the annual fatigue reporting (Form 892) for calendar year 2026 so licensees are not expected to generate reports solely to satisfy a requirement that is projected to be removed. Requiring submission of information that no longer supports a regulatory requirement provides limited safety benefit while creating unnecessary administrative burden for both licensees and the NRC.
 26.207a1ii and 26.211b: Remove the requirement for a person to be present when supervisors are doing remote assessments. The NRC has acknowledged that advancements in technology with video and audio clarity support remote assessments. If doing a fatigue assessment there is no benefit of having a person next to the individual assessed with a supervisor remote.
26.205(d)(6): Change 60-day outage criteria to 90-day outage criteria while keeping everything else intact. As Power Plants age, longer outages are being experienced. This would reduce burden on the NRC for exemption request extensions, as well as plants to adhere to the requirements.
