I know the significance and uniqueness of our Wilderness system in the USA. It includes important protections for Recommended Wilderness Areas, Wilderness Study Areas, Designated Wilderness Areas, Inventoried Roadless Areas, Proposed Wilderness Areas, Potential Wilderness Areas, and Eligible Wilderness Areas. It’s important that each of these categories of protected land, and any other types or categories of Wilderness yet to be explored, continue to be protected and managed to preserve their wilderness character in accordance with current NPS policy and the Wilderness Act (for designated Wilderness). Changes to this system under the current administration is not recommended, and I strongly oppose any changes at this time.
