Summary: The commenter opposes the proposal to increase harvest limits for threatened or endangered species, particularly large predators. They argue that such actions contradict environmental stewardship and damage the public's perception of NOAA.
I am greatly opposed to increasing harvest limits for any species that is threatened or endangered, especially ecologically vital large predators. I am disappointed that this is was even proposed. I understand that certain animal populations need light culling or control, but threatened species should be allotted the chance to thrive where they can. This is the opposite of environmental stewardship and not only diminishes the public view of NOAA, but is the antithesis NOAA should stand for.
