Summary: An individual is strongly opposing the proposed action, arguing that Driver Monitoring Systems (DMS) are an unethical violation of privacy rights. The commenter expresses frustration with the government's role in allowing private companies to implement such technology and rejects the requirement for DMS software in vehicles.
NO! We do not want this. this is the most unethical ruling I have ever seen hidden under the guise of protecting people. DMS systems are a violation of my rights. The whole loop hole where private companies can install this shit, and it’s considered legal because it’s “Private” is completely utterly a disturbing failure of government. What 70-80% of Americans don’t want this? And it’s still being persued? Oh we want more affordable vehicles? Then you require DMS SOFTWARE IN ALL CARS!???? I am 25 years old and never have felt the need to make a “PUBLIC COMMENT”. This is fucking unbelievable.
