Summary: The commenter, who appears to be a truck delivery driver, argues that heavy vehicle automatic emergency braking systems are dangerous and prone to malfunctioning. They claim the systems cause skidding and safety hazards in various driving conditions and advocate for them to be outlawed until perfected.
I delivered new trucks for a company. They had a braking system on them. It would read someone driving down a ramp and slam on the breaks. Almost threw me through the windshield. If a car got in front of you to change lanes it would slam on the breaks. It doesn't take into account that your already applying the breaks. It caused me several times during bad weather to cause me to skid. One time it slammed on the breaks and several cars behind me went into a skid to keep from slamming into eachother. These should be outlawed until they are perfected. These computers are dangers.
