Summary: A truck driver expresses concern that the proposed automatic emergency braking system for heavy vehicles could cause dangerous accidents. They argue that the system may trigger unexpectedly on objects like bridges or guardrails, potentially causing heavy trucks to lock up and lose control in traffic.
I drive 2019 579 peterbilt and it has the electronic braking system and it slam on brakes for Bridges ,Gardrails, reflector on the roadway. And the winter weather is even worse. This system is going to take someone's life if it hasn't already. Just imagine driving a 80,000 pounds truck and out of the blue your brakes lock up in the middle of traffic not a pretty sight to see the end result.
