Summary: The commenter, likely a truck owner/operator, opposes the requirement for heavy vehicle automatic emergency braking systems. They argue that these systems can cause accidents by causing sudden braking that vehicles without ABS cannot handle, and they express concern over the high costs of the equipment and installation.
Automatic Braking Systems are dangerous. If you're traveling at a speed of 65 mph and your braking system activates it is possible to cause an accident because the traffic behind you may not have an ABS. This doesn't include the cost of thye system and the installation of it. Another high costing piece of equipment for Owner/Operators. Enough of the regulations that are costing the industry dollars that many can't afford.
