I drive an International Truck with AEB. The sensors are subject to misinterpreting the shadows under bridge overpasses and from trees. I've had several instances where the brakes activate and cause myself to be caught off guard. If the AEB activates during inclimate weather or driving around a bend, serious problems could occur. If another vehicle is tailgating me when this occurs they will be in danger of rear-ending my trailer, possibly causing injury to them. I, as a professional driver could possibly be held responsible. I could be sued and / or the company I drive for. I urge you to resolve the sensor issue before implementing this rule.
