I own a 2018 Freightliner Cascadia equipped with an Automated Emergency Braking System (AEB). I have had numerous false positive events in which the truck automatically applies the brakes very hard for no apparent reason. There has been several near collisions because of these false positive events. This technology is not sophisticated enough yet to implement on commercial vehicles. I have sought out service at the Freightliner Dealer numerous times and each time I am told there is nothing they can do.
