No one should be celebrating the theft of land, especially not when the US has these past and present atrocities to its name: Forced displacement and genocide of Indigenous people Slavery (including the forced drafting of every citizen into acting as a police force for this morally repugnant "industry") Segregation (legally protected for many years until people forced the system to wake up) Animal Testing (legally mandated, taxpayer-funded) Factory farms (taxpayer subsidized) War (often for geopolitical gain at the expense of human life and global stability) Complete pollution and destruction of land, which doesn't even legitimately belong to capitalism, but which the government agrees to help steal for capital Trapping/Farming programs for youth, targeting vulnerable populations before their ethical senses are fully formed - often leading to lasting trauma.
