Summary: An individual is urging the agency to provide stronger protections for the Greenback Cutthroat Trout and to ban all fishing of the species. They argue that even catch-and-release fishing causes physical injury, pain, and trauma to the fish, and they advocate for the protection of the species from cruelty.
Please do your best to protect the Greenback Cutthroat Trout from destruction. Please give stronger protections for this trout species. Please don't allow people to fish these animals anymore. Even catch-and-release fishing is harmful for fish in that it usually causes injuries to fish that will cause their death later on or traumatize fish and increase the chance of the same fish getting caught again. Catch-and-release fishing is not beneficial to fish. Fish bleed like any other animal and they suffer pain. Fishing is a cruel sport. If a fish gets caught on a hook, how do you expect that to not injure the poor fish? Hooks hurt and asphyxia is painful. Please check out the links below about fish feeling pain. Please protect the Greenback Cutthroat Trout from cruelty and from being killed. These animals are precious and beautiful.
