I am very concerned about the U.S. Department of Interior's broad review of its policies that protect remote and undeveloped places recognized under federal law as “wilderness.” This is just another attempt by the Trump administration to sell our public lands and end the protections for those lands. I am adamantly against the sale and misuse of our public lands and believe there should be more land set aside and greater protections for those lands. I think this is one area where both Republicans and Democrats can agree. I live in a mountain community in Colorado where there are as many Republicans as Democrats and they all want to protect these national treasures that Roosevelt, Muir, and others had the foresight to acquire and protect. We need these lands for the health of the environment, wildlife, flora as well as the enjoyment and mental health of people. I will do whatever is necessary to ensure these lands remain public and healthy. Public land decisions should be made by the public! Thank you, Priscilla Kirouac Winter Park, CO
