Inaccurate information from AI is a danger to all aspects of American life and international relations. Grok, Ca.i, Gemini, etc are some of the most widely used AI models by the public and have proved to have devastating effects. People are being told health information that’s false and causes more harm, they are being fed propaganda seems straight from Middle Ages, and data is being skewed and distorted the view of scientific evidence. From a health point of view, digital dementia is a newer complication we are seeing from the use of AI model where the volume of gray and white matter in the brain is decreasing due to heavy use of social media and AI. Again: people’s brains are shrinking. Signs of early onset dementia for those in their 30’s is becoming more common. These AI models also operate and are maintained with unsustainable physical conditions. There is not an effective cooling system for the hardware of any of these data processing and storage centers. And lastly, I work in research and have used pattern recognition software (what AI actually is) and I still have to go in and correct the countless mistakes it makes because it’s just pattern recognition software, not actual intellectual abilities. Regulation of theses systems, their companies, their physical data structures, and usage is needed before these become normative in this country
