Hello everyone who might read this comment, I would like to start by saying I am an American Citizen and even though this issue does not affect me directly, i do know people that worked on the School bus driver field that have been affected by the new rule which are DACA recipients and I know they been in the U.S. since children. I know and can vouch to say they are very hard working people always friendly and caring towards me and others. I know that the DACA program has to be renewed every 2 years and they have to go get fingerprinted and clear the biometrics process for them to continue to have the right to work in the U. S. otherwise it gets cancel and they will have nothing to be able to work legally . I have to know through them that here in California they do go through a tougher process to get a class B cdl as bus drivers since they go to the California Highway Patrol for a deeper background check , and once that clears written test ans a driving test with a CHP officer. Truck drivers do not do any of that in California. it is unfair for this qualified DACA recipients who done everything right to become school bus drivers to pay the price for the horrible accidents caused by the truck industry. im joining the petition to let this individuals drive again because they are safe drivers since they go through alot of training to be the safest they can be and keep the children safe I want to encourage everyone out there that has a class B license taken away or know anyone that had one to keep the support for the DACA recipients they are good hard working people and they follow all the laws and regulations because if they dont their privilege is taken away and they cannot afford that plus Class B school bus drivers have to be clean when it comes to their back ground or they are not allow to continue the process to obtain a CDL . Please allowed them to drive again they do not deserve to be punished for the mistakes of others.
