Summary: The commenter supports the exemption for DACA recipients to obtain Class B Commercial Driver's Licenses (CDLs). They argue that these individuals have met all safety requirements and that the exemption is necessary for them to maintain their livelihoods, support their families, and keep their businesses running.
I support Daca recipients to obtain their Class B CDL. Without it, it will affect their livelihoods/jobs and families. These CDL drivers have been following everything they need to follow to obtain their CDL license to safely drive commercial vehicles, they have passed the required test just like any other CDL driver and they contribute to society as well. This exemption will be a relief to many families as it’s very important to continue to support their families and their children’s education and many now own their own business and without their CDL they could lose their businesses as well and that’s not fair to anyone that has worked so hard to start something that they’re passionate about and to do something great for their families/kids. Thank you for your consideration
