Summary: A commercial driver with over 15 years of experience opposes the CDL exemption for Jenifer Sanchez Vilchis. The commenter argues that non-citizens should not be allowed to hold CDLs, claiming they contribute to inflated insurance rates, low freight rates, and unsafe road conditions.
If you are not a citizen you should not be allowed to have a cdl of any kind full stop. There is no driver shortage and these people game the system, exploit the country and don't follow the rules. They are a large cause for inflated insurance rates, low freight rates and dangerous road ways. As a 15 plus year driver I have seen many things and a good start to fixing our problems on the highways would be eliminating all non domiciled, H1 visa and DACA cdl holders from the road. Continue to Crack down on English requirements, cabotage freight violaters and shippers and receivers for accommodating these types of drivers. California, Oregon and Washington are the worst states for these criminals and I hope DHS, CBP, ICE and DOT Crack down heavy in those states because thats where alot of them are hiding. I see it everyday.
