Summary: A certified MRI technologist supports the proposed action to obtain more information from manufacturers. They argue that increased knowledge of the MRI modality is essential for improving patient safety and decreasing harmful events.
I am a certified MRI technologist contributing to the healthcare industry with providing patient care in this modality. Part of providing patient care is to ensure that each patient is scanned safetly and to help prevent any harm that may come to the patient. To help prevent harmful events from occuring to our patients every piece of information is valuable towards these efforts. I request that you consider this petition for consideration. I am choosing to support this petition because the more knowledge provided to the MRI modality the better our safety efforts will be. The requested information provided by the manufacturers will help in the effort of decreasing harmful events from happening.
