Taking 3 pills of ciprofloxacin has been nothing short of devastating to my life. Double vision, muscle wasting, weight loss, food allergies, fatigue, tendon tears, months in a wheelchair, physical therapy, lost job opportunity, needing a caretaker...the list goes on. It's been devastating to me and my family, and all for a suspected UTI. This drug is pure poison and doctors are grossly uneducated about its possible side effects. The fact that these side effects are acceptable is shocking to me. Save this drug for anthrax or last resort emergency situations. Far too many people are being damaged on a daily basis and deserted by the very medical community that got them into this situation in the first place. Please stop giving this drug out, and please educated doctors and providers about the potentially severe and life-changing consequences of taking fluoroquinolones. And please provide some respite or help for victims.
