•I urge FDA to ban amalgam because it is composed of 50% mercury in a veyr absorbable form that spreads to and damages every organ in the human body, even crossing the blood-brain barrier. Amalgam was placed in my teeth at a young age and caused digestive problems, hormone imbalance, and migraine headaches. I know those problems were caused by the mercury leaching into my system because when I finally had the money (in my 30's) to get all my amalgum fillings safely removed all those problems resolved fairly quickly! I then felt terrible that I'd received amalgum fillings while pregnant, not knowing the "silver fillings" was 50% mercury! I feels even worse that all four of my children received amalgum fillings starting at 6 years of age. One of my sons nearly died of kidney failure at age 8. He had to undergo a very painful nephectomy in 1985 to remove one kidney that was so damaged that it was non-functional and causing very painful urination. He's now in his 40's and has to be extremely careful about his nutrition. He went so far as to apply for a work visa in the UK and Europe because their safety regulations are much stricter (he has avoid toxins at all coss in his food and dental work.
