Comment from Samsonowitz Maureen

Summary: An individual expresses concern over the health risks of mercury in amalgam fillings and argues that the FDA should not allow them. The commenter supports the petition's goal of restricting amalgams in favor of healthier alternatives.
I have 9 amalgam fillings in my mouth and am aware that this might be causing my health problems, poor memory, etc. However, to remove all the mercury in my mouth will be more than a $30,000 expense so as of now I am stuck. This is the result of the cheap dental payments for amalgams to fix cavities. I am horrified to think that my grandchildren may face the same fate. Why is the FDA allowing amalgam fillings when there are other healthier fillings that won't cause long-term damage???
